New Solange Album, “A Seat at the Table,” Coming Friday

She will drop her new album, A Seat at the Table, this Friday via the usual digital outlets.

In a statement, Solange describes the album as “a project on identity, empowerment, independence, grief and healing.”

Features artists include Lil Wayne, Q-Tip and Kelly Rowland, the former Destiny’s Child bandmate of Solange’s sister, Beyonce.

Solange recently teased A Seat at the Table with a fan giveaway that involved a poetry book of lyrics and photos with the same name. You can download the digital version of the book on SolangeMusic.com.
