ABC/Randy HolmesJay Z put aside the “party life” over the weekend and opted for a low-key private dinner with his close friends and family in celebration of his forty-seventh birthday.
According to US Magazine, the music mogul decided to celebrate his December 4 birthday a day earlier with his wife Beyoncé; mother-in-law Tina Knowles, her husband, Richard Larson; and his wife’s bestie Kelly Rowland. Kelly brought along her huband-manager, Tim Witherspoon.
Jay, Bey and the rest of the crew dined at the swanky L.A. French eatery République, which managed to keep the couple’s arrival under wraps by covering their entrance with green tarps.
Jay Z’s dinner party was said to be much more intimate than Beyoncé’s Soul Train inspired birthday in September. Queen B celebrated her thirty-fifth birthday with friends and family including, Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz and Usher.
