ABC/Randy HolmesShopping for a new house? John Legend and his wife Chrissy Teigen are selling their Los Angeles home for $1.995 million.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the house includes three bedrooms, including one that was converted into a studio, where Legend wrote and recorded songs for his Love in the Future CD. The nine-time Grammy Award winner feels the 2,000 square foot home in Hollywood Hills is too small, and they’re looking for more space.
“We’re ready to expand a little bit,” Legend says. “If we could have the twice-as-big version of this place, we would get it. We love the feel of this home.” He personalized the house by inscribing lyrics from his songs on a light fixture. The living room includes a grand piano which Legend occasionally plays for special guests.
The house, which sits on a quarter acre of land, was built in the 1960s. The couple purchased it as a second home in 2007; Legend and Teigen’s primary residence is in New York City.
