Warner Bros. RecordsIt’s not often that a musical guest on Saturday Night Live gets the opportunity to perform for eight consecutive minutes, but then again, not every musical guest is Prince.
Prince entertained viewers with an eight-minute medley, featuring his band 3RDEYEGIRL and guest vocalist Lianne La Havas, that highlighted his two new releases. Wearing a three-lensed pair of sunglasses, he ran through “Clouds,” off Art Official Age, before transitioning into two tracks from his and 3RDEYEGIRL’s new disc, Plectrumelectrum: “Marz” and “Anotherlove.”
This marked Prince’s third turn as musical guest on SNL. Chris Rock was the host.
