Columbia RecordsBeyonce has reportedly been hit with a lawsuit for allegedly stealing one of her hit songs, “XO.”
According to a lawsuit, which TMZ says they obtained, a background singer named Ahmad Javon Lane claims he penned a song called “XOXO” and shared it with another singer, who in turns provides background vocals for Beyonce.
In the suit, Lane claims that Beyonce got a hold of the record and recorded her own version, which she retitled “XO.” The song appears on Bey’s self-titled album.
Lane is seeking at least $3 million in alleged damages.
