The holiday season just wouldn’t be complete without a party. So it comes as no surprise that Aretha Franklin intends to let loose during her upcoming Christmas party, which will be littered with R&B greats.
“Well, I usually cook, but this year I’m having a Christmas party, the singer told ABC News Radio before spilling her guest list. “And I’m having the Four Tops, Melba Moore, Dave Hollister, Montel Williams — hey! — and it’s gonna be a really, really cool party.”
Aretha certainly has good reasons to celebrate — she recently received the prestigious Icon of the Year prize during the Billboard Women in Music Awards ceremony earlier this month. In addition, this year saw the release of her latest album, Aretha Franklin Sings the Great Diva Classics, which was her highest debuting album on that Billboard 200 chart — at #13 — in her long career.
