Metropolitan PresentsDiana Ross is the latest artist to sign for a residency in Las Vegas.
The Motown diva will perform nine concerts from April 1-18 at The Venetian. In the past, Ross performed across the street at Caesars Palace where she launched her solo tour in 1972. Naming her new show, The Essential Diana Ross: Some Memories Never Fade, the former lead singer of The Supremes will perform April 1, 3-4, 7-8, 10-11, 15 and 17-18.
According to the Las Vegas Sun, Janet Jackson and Lionel Richie will follow Ross as resident performers at The Venetian, although a formal announcement has not been made. Mariah Carey recently announced she will kick off an 18-show residency at Caesars Palace on May 6.
