Some New York City school kids are about to have a pretty cool principal. Ne-Yo will serve as “principal for the day” at the city’s High School of Fashion Industries, in celebration of that school’s victory in a contest to inspire students to prepare for and apply to college.
The non-profit organization Get Schooled made the announcement Monday. Lucky students who participated in college challenge sponsored by Capital One bank will also get to party with a celebrity.
“I’m looking forward to being principal for the day @getschooled #NONFICTION2015,” Ne-Yo tweeted.
The singer has previously served as a principal for the program back for its 2011 Get Schooled Fall Attendance Challenge. To learn more visit GetSchooled.com.
