Alicia Keys to Be Honored at the Grammys on the Hill Awards Today

Trae Patton/NBCAlicia Keys will take a break out of her busy schedule to be recognized by the Recording Academy at its 2015 Grammys on the Hill Awards.

Later today, April 15, the singer will be presented with the Recording Artists’ Coalition Award — named for the artists’ rights program founded by rockers Don Henley and Sheryl Crow at the Hamilton Live in Washington D.C.

Hosted by country singer Hunter Hayes, the event also will include live performances and appearances from Rodney Jerkins and saxophonist Kirk Whalum.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Grammy Foundation in its efforts to support under-served music programs throughout the U.S.
