Jay Z & Beyonce Land on “Billboard’s” “Money-Makers” List

Image Courtesy Cliff Lipson/CBSJay Z and Beyonce raked in a lot of money last year, respectively, so it comes as no surprise that they appeared in the top 15 of Billboard‘s “2014 Money-Makers” list, which ranks the highest-paid musicians of the past year.

Hova appears at No. 9 with an impressive $22 million in earnings, most of which came from touring. What’s even more scary: “If Tidal is a success, his take should be bigger in 2015.”

His wife lands at a few slots behind at No. 12 with $19.6 million, $3.5 million of which comes from combined music sales and streaming royalties from her self-titled album.

Elsewhere, Eminem comes in at No. 20 with a $11.9 million income, $5.2 million alone came from the “Monster” tour he did with Rihanna. Drake made the list for the first time, coming in at No. 21 with $10.6 million earned. Though he didn’t release an album in 2014, Drake made $7.7 million from touring and still managed to earn $1.7 million in sales royalties.

The list calculates the total revenue of an artist based on sales, streaming numbers, publishing and touring income.
