Image Courtesy Gomillion & LeupoldWhile Tinashe continues recording her much anticipated sophomore album, she’s hasn’t stopped promoting her most recently released body of work. On Tuesday, the singer issued the official music video for “Cold Sweat,” lifted from her debut album Aquarius.
In the dark visual, posted on YouTube, the singer locks herself up in a private space and sings about the pressures of the music industry, which apparently can make people go crazy.
“This ain’t a place to be makin’ friends, they all got agendas/There’s eyes on your back, fangs in your neck/ Thinkin’ I’ve been fienin’ for a taste of this sh**,” she sings.
With her face distorted, she reveals how challenging the entertainment business can be. “This pressure ain’t for everybody/Weighing so heavy on my body,” she coos.
Fans will get to see Tinashe showcase the tune when she joins the North American leg of Nicki Minaj’s Pinkprint tour, beginning July 17 in Dallas, Texas, and wrapping up August 19 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
