Frank Ocean Sets “Boys Don't Cry” Release Date

Nabil ElderkinHe’s finally done it — Frank Ocean has set a release date for his highly-anticipated second album, Boys Don’t Cry

Tuesday, the R&B singer announced that the album, along with a video and print publication also titled Boys Don’t Cry, will be released this Friday, says The New York Times. The album will be exclusive to Apple Music for just two weeks before more widespread availability.

It’as been four years since Ocean released his debut album, channel ORANGE, which was nominated for six Grammy Awards and won Best Urban Contemporary Album in 2013. 

Since then, Ocean lent his musical talents as a guest on other songs such as Kanye West‘s “Wolves,” but hasn’t dropped any new singles of his own. Monday morning, he posted a livestream video on his website of new music samples and an empty room, with a man, who may have been Ocean himself, prompting new album release rumors.
