ABC/ Lou RoccoWhat’s wrong with a little healthy competition? Instagram recently dropped a new feature, Instagram Stories, which mirrors rival social media app Snapchat.
Ne-Yo believes that while there’s room in the tech industry for both, Instagram Stories still appears suspicious to him.
“I look at it like this…if Instagram felt like their business was being damaged by what Snapchat was doing, and then decided to create their own version of what Snapchat does, I mean this has been going on for centuries. There’s a reason that there’s Coke and Pepsi, there’s a reason that there’s Pizza Hut and Papa Johns, you know what I mean?,” he tells TMZ.
“They can’t monopolize, they can’t corner the market,” he says of Snapchat, adding of Instragram Stories, “But at the same time, it is a little shady.”
