Cliff Lipson/CBSLL Cool J‘s twelfth annual Jump & Ball Tournament is scheduled to begin this weekend in the artist’s hometown of Hollis, Queens in New York City. The basketball and double-dutch tournament will be held every Saturday and Sunday for four weeks and was created to to provide fitness, wellness and leadership skills for kids aged eight to 18 in the Queens community. Other sports included throughout the camp include golf, tennis and handball, along with chess and spelling bees.
The Jump & Ball Tournament, sponsored by Spike TV, will take place at Daniel O’Connell Park in Hollis, Queens, New York from August 6 through August 27.
