Atlantic Records/David CamarenaKehlani‘s new music video for her single, “Gangsta,” portrays the R&B songstress taking on the persona of fictional DC Comics character, Harley Quinn. The track, featured on the Suicide Squad: The Album movie soundtrack, is about Kehlani’s need for a gangsta to love her better and the video clip helps to express her desire as she waits on a floor of shattered glass or behind a curtain of pearls.
Both the single and music video represent the famously turbulent relationship between Quinn, played by actress Margot Robbie in the Suicide Squad film, and other DC Comics character The Joker, played by Oscar winner Jared Leto.
