Tasia Wells/Getty Images for Talent Resources SportsGospel music superstar Israel Houghton is responding to reports that he sired two children outside of his twenty-year marriage and has been delinquent in supporting them.
A day after Bossip posted legal documents filed by the Texas State Attorney Child Support Division that stated Houghton owed both back and current child support for children Kingston, 4, and Khristian, 2, the new fiancé of The Real co-host, Adrienne Bailon tweeted, “God is Faithful. Even in our failings & unfaithfulness. He is the Peace in the storm that passes all understanding. I have peace.”
Houghton’s legal team also addressed the matter in a statement to the gossip site, saying, “[Houghton] has been financially supporting the two children since they were born, and hasn’t yet been served with the suit because he is on tour.”
As previously reported, Houghton and Bailon recently celebrated their wedding shower in California and are set to get married next month. Bailon has yet to publicly comment on the report.
