Isacc SterlingJhené Aiko is a sultry maniac in her new single, “Maniac.”
Jhené’s latest single was developed with “creative energy,” the singer tells Billboard, rather than from being “under the influence of something,” as, she says, was once part of her creative process.
“I’ve always been like this but now more than ever, nothing is off limits. I feel comfortable to really truly be myself — every part of me,” she says.
“Maniac” is the lead single from Aiko’s forthcoming sophomore album and also is part of her “Maniac” visual project, inspired by the ancient Japanese art form of rope bondage called shibari.
The Grammy-nominated artist is also at work with Big Sean on their next TWENTY88 studio project, set to be released next year.
