Parkwood/ColumbiaNominees for the 48th NAACP Image Awards have been announced, with Beyoncé unsurprisingly leading the pack of recording artists with seven nominations.
The superstar will go up against Chance the Rapper, actresses Viola Davis and Regina King, and Dwayne Johnson, otherwise known as The Rock, for Entertainer of the Year.
Bizarrely, her iconic visual album, Lemonade, is also up for an Outstanding Children’s Program award.
Bey is also been pitted against her sister, Solange, in several categories, including Outstanding Album, Outstanding Song — Contemporary, and Outstanding Music Video. Solange received a total of five nominations for her tour de force album, A Seat at The Table.
Chance has a chance to win three other NAACP awards for Outstanding New Artist, Outstanding Male Artist and Outstanding Album, while Kendrick Lamar received a total of four nominations, including Outstanding Male Artist and Outstanding Album.
The 48th NAACP Image Awards will air live on TV ONE Saturday, February 11 at 9 p.m. ET.
