ABC/Image Group LAHouston high school student Ebony Banks has died, four days after her final wish to speak to Beyoncé was granted, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
As previously reported, Ebony, who was battling a rare cancer that had progressed to stage four, was contacted by the superstar last Wednesday via Facetime.
Alief Independent School District spokeswoman Kimberly Smith tells THR that Ebony passed away late Saturday night.
Her last wish was to meet Queen Bey, and thanks to the help of classmates and friends who made up the #EBOBMEETSBEYONCE social media hashtag, her wish came true. Ebony’s nickname was “Ebob.”
Bey told Ebony that she loved her during their intimate online conversation.
