In a new interview with GQ, the actor says he’s been rocking out to “a lot” of the artist’s music lately following his painful divorce from actress Angelina Jolie.
“I find this young man so special. Talk about getting to the raw truth,” 53-year-old Pitt says. “He’s painfully honest. He’s very, very special. I can’t find a bad [song].”
Brad has also finds solace in Marvin Gaye‘s music, particularly the late singer-songwriter’s 1978 album, Here, My Dear, which also puts a spotlight on Gaye’s divorce from his first wife, Anna Gordy Gaye.
Pitt, who co-produced Best Picture Oscar-winners 12 Years a Slave and Moonlight, also wishes he could follow in the footsteps of a few famous rappers and change his own name.
“I can be Puffy now or — what is Snoop? Lion? I just felt like Brad was a misnomer,” Pitt says.
