Attorney Lisa Bloom has announced in an statement that she’s filing a lawsuit in California on behalf of two women and one man who’ve alleged that Usher infected them with the herpes virus without telling them about his disease.
Bloom will hold a press conference this Monday, August 7 at 9:00 am ET in New York City to address the lawsuit.
One of Usher’s accusers will also reveal her identity and speak at the press conference, the statement says.
The other two, listed as Jane Doe and John Doe in Bloom’s statement, will remain anonymous for now.
Last month, documents obtained by Radar Online stated that Usher allegedly transmitted the herpes virus to a woman, and failed to tell her about his sexual health status.
The woman was subsequently diagnosed with herpes and sued Usher, who in turn reportedly settled the case by paying her $1.1 million.
So far, there’s been no comment from Usher on either that claim, or the allegations that will be addressed Monday.
It’s a crime in California to willfully expose a person to a sexually transmitted disease and not tell them beforehand.
If Bloom’s name sounds familiar she’s also currently representing Blac Chyna in her ongoing troubles with Rob Kardashian.
