ABC/Lorenzo BevilaquaIt’s no secret that Tamar Braxton recently filed for divorce from her husband, Vincent Herbert.
However on Friday, Tamar’s mother, Evelyn Braxton, told TMZ in a video that she just wants Vincent to “keep his hands off of my child.”
“Stop before he hurts her or kills her. I love Vin, but I don’t want him to kill my child. As simple as that. Stop,” Evelyn Braxton said.
When the TMZ videographer then asked Evelyn if she would give Tamar her blessing should the singer decide to call off her divorce from Vince, she responded, “I think that if a person really means what they’re doing, then they’ll go and get help. They’ll get counseling, right?”
Evelyn added, “He need(s) to go and get counseling. Before someone get(s) killed.”
As previously reported, the couple, who began dating in 2003, were reportedly involved in a domestic dispute in 2016.
Police were called after Herbert allegedly bit Braxton’s hand during an argument.
Tamar and Vincent seemingly downplayed the incident when they were spotted holding hands at LAX the next day, with Herbert giving a TMZ cameraman a thumbs-up about their relationship.
