ABC/ Ida Mae AstuteMary J. Blige is trying hard to stay in good physical shape –and recently told actress Salma Hayek that she’s a prime motivator for her.
In a new video interview for Variety‘s forthcoming seventh season of Actors on Actors, Mary J. tells Hayek, “You are one of my inspirations for being in the gym every day. I’ve been training like a maniac since then trying,” to which Salma replies, “And it shows!”
Specifically, Blige says how Hayek looked in the 1996 horror film From Dusk Till Dawn is her “inspiration.”
“Thank you for that. You looked and still look amazing,” Mary says.
“I know you got those genetics. It was just, you were just perfect. And I said, ‘I want to be perfect. I want my body to be perfect like that. I want the perfect butt, perfect stomach.’ It was perfect.”
