Did Mary J. Blige's estranged husband land in hospital due to divorce distress?

ABC/Randy HolmesMary J. Blige‘s estranged husband and former manager Kendu Isaacs alleges that his recent hospitalization was a result of stress amid the couple’s divorce battle.

The Blast cites court documents obtained by the celebrity news website in reporting Kendu “experienced physical manifestations of stress and emotional distress from this matter, which caused him to become hospitalized.”

Blige and Isaacs married in 2003, and she filed for divorce in 2016, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

As previously reported, the Mudbound actress and singer was ordered by a judge in October of last year to continue paying Kendu $30,000 a month in spousal support, after his request for an increase to $65,000 a month was dismissed

Issacs asked for the increase because he was unemployed, and claimed Blige was profiting from new music she released about their breakup, which Isaacs called “divorce songs” — namely, “Love Yourself” and “Set Me Free,” from Blige’s Strength of a Woman album.

The Blast adds that Mary and Kendu are set to go to court in March over the divorce.
