Freeform/Aaron PooleTrevor Jackson is more than just an actor in the new Freeform comedy series grown-ish: He’s also a singer who’s been told on more than one occasion that he sounds like Chris Brown.
But as Trevor tells ABC Radio, that comparison “is hard.”
“It’s like anybody who is the person that someone likes, they’re gonna compare them, ’cause they compared Chris to Michael [Jackson], and [he] doesn’t sound like Michael.”
“It’s whoever people really are in love with,” he explains.
Trevor adds that his vocal talents have also been likened to Trey Songz and Bryson Tiller.
“It’s pretty much whatever young, black, handsome guy, then you sound like him a little bit,” he continues.
