Tamar Braxton; ABC/Lorenzo BevilaquaIt looks like Tamar Braxton‘s mom, Evelyn Braxton, still doesn’t understand her daughter’s continued contact with her estranged husband, Vincent Herbert.
Citing sources, celebrity gossip website The Jasmine Brand claims that Evelyn was “blindsided” and “p****ed” after seeing Tamar and Vince hanging out backstage together at a recent Xscape concert in Atlanta. Tamar is one of the supporting acts for Xscape’s current Great Xscape Tour.
Last year, Evelyn claimed to several media outlets that Vince physically abused her daughter.
Those sources add that Evelyn was particularly “baffled” to see the two together, particularly because Vince was arrested and booked on suspicion of spousal assault on Christmas Day.
As previously reported, Vince was released a couple of hours later on $20,000 bond.
Tamar explained the incident later on in a statement to E! News, saying that “after a few drinks and some jealousy” while celebrating the Christmas holiday with family, “things got a bit out of hand.”
However, she added, “There was no physical interaction between Vince and I on Christmas… I cannot paint him as a vicious abuser.”
Afterwards, on December 30, Braxton claimed a woman contacted her, saying she was pregnant by Herbert.
The two also reportedly spent New Year’s Eve together and were spotted with their son in Los Angeles on Tuesday. Tamar officially quit Instagram on Wednesday morning, following the recent drama with Vincent over the holidays.
Prior to deleting her account, the Braxton Values star posted a message, seen by E! News, claiming the former couple did not reconcile as reported, but are still focused on co-parenting their four-year-old son, Logan Vincent.
Tamar filed for divorce from Vince last year, after months of speculation that their eight-year marriage was on the rocks.
