Beastie Boys Memoir To Finally Be Released This Year

Recently an update on a Beastie Boys memoir, that has been in the works for years, has given fans hope about the release of the long-awaited project.  During an appearance on Apple Music’s Beats 1 radio show Mike D revealed that the as-yet-untitled book, which is to be edited by the hip-hop journalist Sacha Jenkins, will finally come out in the fall of this year.  Back in 2013, Random House revealed that it inked a deal with Mike D and Adam “Ad-Rock” Horowitz of Beastie Boys to write a memoir about the influential hip-hop act, and would be released in the fall of 2015.  Mike D says the memoir will focus on the early days but go into present day as well, and he also added “I can say pretty confidently, it will be unlike any other music book.”
