“She Did That”: Tamar Braxton shows off newly shaved head on Instagram

ABC/Lorenzo BevilaquaTamar Braxton surprised fans Wednesday with a completely new look.

The “Love and War” singer debuted a shaved head via Instagram, writing in the photo’s caption, “Im over feeling captive to a wig, weave, people, people’s comments & opinions hell…even my OWN feelings! WE can choose to stop these things from having the power and victory over us!! And for me, that started TODAY.”

Tamar also shared an Instagram video of her getting her hair shaved off.

In the visual, you can hear Bobby Brown‘s hit song “My Prerogative” playing in the background.

“[scissors emoji] finally free,” she writes in the caption.

Tamar’s need to be “finally free” of her hair and “people’s comments & opinion” could stem from her reported marital issues with estranged husband Vince Herbert.

She filed for divorce from Herbert last year, after months of speculation that their eight-year marriage was on the rocks.

Tamar’s mother, Evelyn Braxton, also claimed to several media outlets that Vince physically abused her daughter.
