Report: Mary J. Blige's divorce is finalized

Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagicMary J. Blige is reportedly now officially divorced.

Three months after the nine-time Grammy-winner reached a settlement in her divorce from Kendu Issacs, the agreement became legal Wednesday, The Blast reports.

A Los Angeles judge approved the divorce settlement. Terms were not revealed.

Blige and Issacs were married in 2003 and she filed for divorce in 2016, citing “irreconcilable differences.” As previously reported, in October 2017, Blige was ordered by a judge to continue paying Isaacs $30,000 a month in spousal support, after his request for an increase to $65,000 a month was dismissed. Isaacs originally demanded $130,000 a month.

Blige said in court documents that paying Isaacs’ spousal support would be unfair and unreasonable. She claimed that she doesn’t own her music catalog, owes $25 million from advances, and accrued another $12 million in debt while married to Isaacs.

Blige also claimed that during their marriage, Issacs spent more than $420,000 on “travel charges” involving a woman he was having an affair with, according to People.com.
