French Montana Raises $500,000 To Benefit Maternity Health Clinic In Uganda

French Montana shot the video for “Unforgettable” in Uganda, and ever since the rapper has been coming up with different charitable efforts to help his home continent of Africa. Recently, he announced the backing of Uganda’s Suubi Center, which helps mothers with maternity needs and children with medical assistance. Montana said that the proceeds of his recent “Famous” remix featuring Adam Levine will be donated to the center, and also revealed he’s raised $500,000 since the announcement. Montana said, “When I went to Uganda I felt obligated to [help]. I feel like every woman and child deserves the right healthcare. It shouldn’t be a privilege it should be a right.” To accompany his 2017 single “Unforgettable”, Montana enlisted the cameos of Uganda’s Triplets Ghetto Kids. The dancing ensemble had a huge impact on Montana, which inspired him to establish a healthcare platform with Global Citizen.
