ABC/Image Group LAKehlani continues to tease the arrival of her highly-anticipated mixtape, While We Wait, by gifting fans with a new track off the forthcoming effort titled “Butterfly.”
The dialed-down ballad finds the Oakland songbird celebrating growth and personal development over a distorted guitar riff.
“So you seem to think you’re invisible/You’re so far from silhouette/You tell on yourself between every word
And leave all this room for me,” Kehlani croons.
The Triangle Park-produced record follows the previously released “Nights Like This,” featuring Ty Dolla $ign.
In addition, Kehlani also shared the release date for While We Wait via Instagram.
“Made a mixtape in a month with many loved ones. While We Wait out 2.22,” she captioned a photo of the project’s track listing.
The tape is set to feature guest spots from Musiq Soulchild, 6LACK and Dom Kennedy.
