“Mo money, mo problems”: Niecy Nash says she's “leaning into being a boss” in “Claws” season 3

Patti PerretNiecy Nash is making boss moves in the third season of the TNT crime drama Claws.

Nash, who plays Desna– a local Florida nail salon owner who gets caught up in laundering money for a crime family– says her character is now calling the shots. However, that new position definitely presents some major challenges for Desna and her crew of women, who in past seasons have always had her back.

“Desna inherits the casino and it just really tests the relationships that she has with the women,” Nash tells ABC Radio. “Because, more money more problems, more responsibility….and really leaning into being a boss.”

According to Nash, now that she runs things, her character will have a hard time letting go of that power.

“It’s kind of like the power is corrupting her,” Nash continues. “And we get to see how that is fleshed out. But I definitely feel like in Season three, you will see Desna finally breaking bad.”

The third season of Claws premieres Sunday, June 9 AT 9 p.m. ET on TNT.
