With the second season return of his BET anthology series, Tales, and his upcoming Murder Inc. Tour, music mogul Irv Gotti has a busy summer ahead of him. So, this 4th of July, the music executive and producer is taking his talents to Las Vegas to unwind.
“I’m gonna go play poker and I’m going to play the World Series of Poker Main Event,” Gotti tells ABC Radio. “I’m gonna donate my 10,000 dollars, sit there and play.”
In fact, Gotti’s already has his game plan set.
“I got a couple my really good friends. Like, we just go out there… And I just want to relax and play some poker and I’ll do that.. until I get knocked out of the main event,” he continues. “And then I’ll probably be back on the grind.”
Gotti’s grind includes promoting his critically acclaimed BET series which returned on Tuesday night with the global premiere of Kanye West‘s new song “Brothers.”
Although Gotti initially kept tight-lipped about the track, because he wanted fans to tune in, the music executive did reveal what he plans to jam to throughout the 4th of July weekend.
“Mary the queen is always good. Anytime,” Gotti says, referring the the Queen of Soul Mary J. Blige. “You know what I’m saying? Be it Fourth of July, Christmas, Thanksgiving, January 1st, January 30th– Who cares. February 2nd. It doesn’t matter. Mary J. Blige is always good.”
Tales airs Tuesday nights at 9 p.m. ET on BET.
