ABC/Paula LoboTiffany Haddish will star as a street performer in the comedy Here Today, alongside veteran comic actor Billy Crystal, who will also co-write and direct the film.
The Emmy Award-winner will portray a singer named Emma Paige, who meets Crystal’s character, veteran comedy writer Charlie Berns, in New York City. They form an “unlikely, touching friendship that defies the generation gap…and redefines the meaning of love and trust,” according to Deadline.com.
Here Today is the latest project for Haddish, who appears in Between Two Ferns: The Movie debuting September 20 on Netflix, and who’s hosting the revival of the comedy series, Kids Say The Darndest Things, premiering October 6 on ABC. She’s also starring with Tracy Morgan in the TBS comedy series, The Last O.G.
The 39-year-old entertainer has a full slate for 2020, including the movies Like A Boss with Billy Porter from Pose, and Bad Trip with Lil Rel Howery from Uncle Drew.
Tiffany will also star in The Madam CJ Walker Netflix series about the legendary entrepreneur and philanthropist, whose cast includes Octavia Spencer, Bill Bellamy, Carmen Ejogo, Blair Underwood, Garrett Morris and Kevin Carroll.
