Kevin Mazur/WireImageTina Lawson had a hilarious reaction to fan art that showed her as part of Disney’s The Proud Family.
In an Instagram post on Thursday, Lawson shared a fan’s Photoshopped image of the Knowles Carter family as The Proud Family. The altered image showed her daughter Beyoncé as Proud Family mother Trudy Proud, Jay Z as Trudy’s husband, Oscar Proud; Blue Ivy as daughter Penny, and the twins Sir and Rumi Carter as BeBe and CeCe.
Lawson, who was also Photoshopped into the image as Sugah Mama, had a few thoughts on being The Proud Family grandma.
“Happy Halloween! This is us as The Proud Family!” Mrs. Lawson captioned her post. “I love this show but i am sorry but Sugah Mama was way older than me and walked with a cane.”
“I am a fly grandma, So she needs a makeover,” Lawson continued, adding laughing emojis. “Seriously I am Proud to say that the original creators Bruce Smith and my friend Ralph Farquhar, original creators of The Proud Family , are recreating the show and bringing it back. I watched this show regularly and will be watching again. Who else loved this show?”
The Proud Family, which first premiered on Disney in 2001, followed 14-year-old Penny Proud, voiced by Kyla Pratt. It centered on Penny’s family life, her friends and her high school drama.
As previously reported, The Proud Family is expected to return as part of Disney+, which launches in the U.S. on November 12.
