Courtesy of NetflixNetflix has released the first trailer for Tyler Perry‘s upcoming film, A Fall from Grace.
As previously reported, the thriller — written, directed, produced and starring Perry — is the first original project from Perry on the streamer.
A Fall from Grace follows Crystal Fox as Grace Waters, a woman healing after her ex-husband finds solace in a new, younger love. But her happiness is cut short when her new man wreaks havoc in her life, making her officially snap.
“I was falling hard. I didn’t even know a man could be that perfect,” Fox says in the promo. “It was a whirlwind. It was the happiest time in my life. That’s when everything I knew — shattered.”
The film also stars Bresha Webb, Mehcad Brooks, Phylicia Rashad and Cicely Tyson.
A Fall from Grace, shot entirely at Tyler Perry Studios, also marks Perry’s first movie release since celebrating his Atlanta facility’s grand opening.
A Fall from Grace launches on Netflix January 17.
