Paras Griffin/Getty ImagesBrandy and Deborah Cox might have you in your feelings performing nostalgic love songs from the past few decades, as headliners for the Femme It Forward “Love Language” concert in Los Angeles on April 30. The all-female series highlights legacy and emerging artists in the entertainment and music industry “both on stage and behind the scenes,” according to President/CEO Heather Lowery.
The concert series will also feature performances from Amerie, Lil Mo, Melanie Fiona, Brooke Valentine, Tweet, Sevyn Streeter, 702 and more to be announced. According to Billboard, actress and TV personality Tami Roman will host the Love Language concert where the all-female lineup will perform throwback love songs from years past.
Live Nation Urban Entertainment debuted the series in April 2019, with a panel discussion and performance by Rico Nasty at Harvard University, sponsored by the Association of Black Harvard Women.
Past Femme It Forward shows included performances and showcases from Ari Lennox, Cardi B., Jill Scott, Jorja Smith, Teyana Taylor, Tweet, Monica and Keri Hilson in Philadelphia, Dallas, and New York.
Tickets for Love Language will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. PST.
