Drake is up early this morning reflecting on life and his relationship with his 2-year-old son, Adonis, while self quarantining amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Toronto rapper shared a collage of photos of his curly blonde-hair, blue-eyed son and his family on Instagram. Adonis’ mother, Sophie Brussaux, was also featured in the photos, paired with a sweet message of reflection and love for his son.
“What is most important for you right now is to connect to your own inner light. This will create the biggest opening of all,” Drake wrote. “Trust that you have all of the power within to make this happen, and in order to do that connect to the people and things that bring you a lot of joy. When the mind starts to move into overthinking or fear, shift your attention right away to something bright.”
He continues, “We are powerful manifestors, so once you make the choice in the moment to shift your awareness to something good, it will show you in your reality. Be conscious, especially right now of fears coming in from others, and recognize that not everything should be held by you.”
Drake also shared that Adonis has “the biggest heart,” which is his “greatest gift.”
Almost two weeks ago, Drake revealed to his father on Instagram Live that he;d tested negative for COVID-19, after hanging with Kevin Durant, who tested positive. Drake added, “Laughter is your best medicine, but tears can also be a powerful release.”
For now, like many across the world, Drake awaits the joyful day he’ll be able to reunite with his family and friends.
