Kodak Black’s New Song ‘Last Day In’ addresses pardon from prison

Following the commutation of his prison sentence by former-President Donald Trump, Kodak Black has released a new song called “Last Day In.” On the track, the Florida rapper addresses the release: “Trump just freed me, but my favorite president is on the money/All they hatin’ presidents has become evident to me.” 

Kodak tweeted out his thanks to Trump after news of his commutation was revealed, saying, “for his commitment to justice reform and shortening my sentence.” The rapper still faces a first-degree criminal sexual misconduct charge in South Carolina stemming from an alleged sexual assault on a woman at a Comfort Inn and Suites in 2016.
