Andra Day; Myriam SantosA series of concert performances and events to mark the newly-announced Global Citizen Week are scheduled to take place in New York City this September, leading up to the 2017 Global Citizen Festival main event later that month.
Included in the week-long series will be an appearance by Sir the Baptist at the Riverside Church in New York City on Sunday, September 17.
Andra Day is confirmed to appear on Tuesday, September 19 to celebrate a still-to-be-named social entrepreneur as a part of The Accelerator Series presented by Global Citizen and Cadillac.
As for this year’s Global Citizen Festival on September 23, Stevie Wonder is one of the headliners taking the stage at the free-ticketed event.
Pharrell Williams, Big Sean and Andra will perform as well. The concert begins at 3 p.m. at the Great Lawn in Central Park.
