ABC/Rick RowellBobby Brown‘s attempt to block TVOne’s October telecast of Bobbi Kristina may not have been successful, but the former New Edition member is set to have a miniseries about his life broadcast on BET.
Deadline reports that BET will debut The Bobby Brown Story next year, which will “pick up” where the TV network’s New Edition Story ended in January.
The two-part program will chronicle Bobby’s departure from New Edition, his solo career, marriage to Whitney Houston and then-secret relationship with Janet Jackson.
Actor Woody McClain, who portrayed Bobby Brown in BET’s The New Edition Story, will reprise his role as the entertainer in The Bobby Brown Story.
According to Deadline, casting for other roles, including Whitney, Bobbi Kristina, Janet and Babyface are currently “underway.”
