Patti LaBelle to “Stir It Up” in recurring role on “Greenleaf”

ABC/Lorenzo BevilaquaPatti LaBelle has joined the cast of Greenleaf in a recurring role for the show’s third season.

According to Deadline, the iconic singer will portray a “famous Christian motivational speaker” and “CEO of a global Christian self-help empire” named Maxine Patterson.

Patti’s character will also be an ally for Greenleaf family matriarch Lady Mae Greenleaf, portrayed by actress Lynn Whitfield.

The third season of the popular OWN network show is currently in production and is set to air this summer.

Patti’s latest TV appearances include roles on Empire, American Horror Story: Freak Show and the cancelled Vanessa Williams starrer, Daytime Divas.
