Image Group LA/ABCThe Weeknd‘s surprise disc, My Dear Melancholy is predicted to top the Billboard 200 chart for the week of April 9.
Industry forecasters anticipate the album, which was released on March 30, will sell around 150,000 equivalent album units by the end of the week.
Should The Weeknd’s newest project make it to number one on the Billboard 200, it would be the Grammy winner’s third consecutive chart-topping album, following his sophomore album Beauty Behind the Madness in 2015 and his third album, Starboy, in 2016.
The Weeknd’s six-song release is executive produced by the superstar and Frank Dukes, with additional production by artists such as Mike WiLL Made-It.
All six songs are available to hear as a playlist on The Weeknd’s official YouTube channel.
A physical version of the disc will become available soon.
The Weekend’s slated to appear as one of the headlining acts at Coachella in April.
