Tamar Braxton, Rick Ross, Estelle to Perform at Centric Salutes Selma Concert

A star-studded array of performers is set to appear at a during Centric Salutes Selma, a concert event the network is planning to celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Selma to Montgomery civil rights marches in Alabama this Sunday.

Performers include Tamar Braxton, Rick Ross, Estelle, Aloe Blacc, Angie Stone, Bebe Winans, Eric Benet, India.Aire, Kelly Price, Kirk Franklin, Tyrese and more, reports AL.com.  Also appearing will be Harry Belafonte and folk singer Peter Yarrow, who were participants in the original marches from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama in March 1965.

Hosted by AJ Calloway, the event will stream live from the Edmund Pettus Bridge — where 600 protesters were attacked by police during the first of the marches on March 7, 1965, galvanizing public support for the Voting Rights Act — March 8 via CentricTV.com and BET.com from 5 p.m. through 8 p.m. ET.
