According to the network, the R&B icon will star alongside Sean “Diddy” Combs as well as lead actors Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis in an episode set during the 1920s Harlem Renaissance. Viewers will see Diddy portraying Savoy, a gangster who owns the Savoy club, while Mary will transform into Mirabelle Calais, the club headliner.
The episode is slated to air Wednesday, May 20 at 9:30 p.m ET on ABC.
