Red BullToday, hip-hop aficionado Teyana Taylor and Red Bull will host a live viewing party of her documentary Assembly Required: Teyana Taylor’s House of Petunia. Following the virtual screening, Teyana will take over Red Bull Music’s Instagram to conduct a 30-min live Q&A on Instagram Live.
Assembly Required: Teyana Taylor’s House of Petunia is a full-length documentary giving fans across the globe a chance to relive Teyana’s jaw-dropping performance at the Red Bull Music Festival in New York last year.
“Those who follow me and come to my shows know how passionate I am about giving a good one!” the R&B singer wrote of the February performance. “So I want to share some of the inside tea of all that comes with putting on the perfect show for YOU!”
The film is raw and unfiltered, taking you into the House of Petunia, revealing Teyana’s creative process and every moment leading up to her sold-out performance: “The good, the bad & the ugly,” Teyana says.
Assembly Required: Teyana Taylor’s House of Petunia also gives fans a look into the visionary’s life behind the music, juggling motherhood and fame, though she makes it look so effortless. Her husband Iman Shumpert, their daughter, Junie, and her mom and manager Nikki Taylor also make appearances in the film.
Tune into the live watch party Thursday, April 23rd at 6 p.m. PT via YouTube, followed by a Q&A with Teyana and her dance captain, Coco Gilbert, on Instagram Live.
