ABC News affiliate KABC-TV reports authorities have recovered the body of WWE wrestling star Shad Gaspard, who went missing in waters off Venice Beach, California on Sunday.
Gaspard and his son were reportedly caught up in a rip current, and he urged rescue swimmers to help the 10-year-old first.
The boy was successfully rescued, but by the time lifeguards returned, Gaspard was nowhere to be found.
His body was reportedly found early Wednesday morning, and the Los Angeles Police Department positively identified the 39-year-old.
Gaspard was one half of the tag team Cryme Time with his partner JTG.
