MIE Images/Marcus IngramThis past weekend’s Black Gay Pride celebration in Atlanta proved a success, especially for K. Michelle who received a 2016 Humanitarian Award at the event’s Pure Heat Community Festival Sunday.
“Thanks so much for my Humanitarian Award today at #ATLPride! I truly appreciate it!,” wrote Michelle on Twitter.
The vocalist also performed, singing a medley of hit singles and even took the time to audition three up-and-coming singers for Atlantic Records.
The Pure Heat Community Festival also welcomed Tiffany Evans and Jhonni Blaze, who both performed as well.
