Andrew Lipovsky/NBCBJ the Chicago Kid hangs out with a group of friends at a house party in the melancholy music video for his latest song, “Uncle Marvin.”
The track, which was released last week, features the sampled sound of late legend Marvin Gaye‘s “Cleopatra’s Apartment,” from the soundtrack of the classic movie Trouble Man.
“Uncle Marvin” is featured on the artist’s new mixtape album, The Lost Files: Cuffing Season.
The eight-track album is now available to stream via Solange‘s Saint Heron label website.
BJ was nominated last week for three Grammy awards, in the categories of Best R&B Performance, Best Traditional R&B Performance for his song “Woman’s World” and Best R&B Album for his studio project In My Mind.
