Jazmine Sullivan is among the honorees for this year’s ASCAP’s Women Behind the Music Series, which recognizes accomplished women in the music industry. The singer will be recognized during the sixth annual event, which will take place in New York on Tuesday, October 7.
K. Michelle will be among the honorees at another ceremony in the series, this one in Atlanta on Tuesday, October 28.
“Every year I look forward to honoring distinguished women in the industry because it reminds me just how much of an impact we have made in the music industry,” says Nicole George-Middleton ASCAP’s vice president of Rhythm & Soul Membership. “We are looking forward to this year’s honorees who have all made very different contributions.”
